SY300 is a small molecule. It is a well-defined substance, which is very well tolerated by humans. SY300 has been discovered in our in-house screening program, which aims at detecting substances that induce the differentiation of adult stem cells into neurons. Our initial tests have shown that SY300 not only induces neurogenesis but also has an inhibitory effect on programmed cell death (apoptosis).
