AX201

AX201 is a therapeutic protein. Its efficacy is similar to that of AX200. AX201 has shown neuroprotective and neuroregenerative properties in a variety of preclinical tests, which include models of stroke, spinal cord injury and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Because of its mechanism of action, it has been identified as a strong candidate for clinical development for a variety of neurodegenerative diseases.

AX201 is the substitute for AX200 in stroke, which will only be developed if AX200 fails. At the moment, extensive preclinical tests are conducted with AX201 to assess its therapeutic potential in spinal cord injury and Parkinson's Disease. Depending on the preclinical results, it will be decided whether AX201 will enter clinical development (also with respect to our other drug candidates for these indications).
