Heidelberg, 12 January, 2007 – With the official registration of the Annual General Meeting’s resolution of 28 November 2006, when an overwhelming majority of the of Shareholders decided to rename the company, LION bioscience AG will hence be called SYGNIS Pharma AG.
This renaming into SYGNIS Pharma AG is the final step of establishing a new pharma-company, focusing on the development of drugs and treatments for CNS diseases for which there are currently no or only limited therapeutic options. SYGNIS Pharma AG has established a very promising pipeline of product candidates which shall be expanded through targeted product acquisitions and inhouse development.
From now on, the company will appear in public with its new name. Consequently, the company’s listing on the stock exchange will also be changed into SYGNIS Pharma AG on 15 January. The identification number (WKN: 504350/ISIN: DE0005043509) will remain the same.
