The Company

SYGNIS Pharma AG, Heidelberg, is a specialist pharmaceutical company listed on the German stock exchange’s Prime Standard and focuses on the research, development and marketing of innovative therapies for the treatment of neuro-degenerative diseases. It develops drugs for the treatment of conditions of the central nervous system (CNS) for which there are currently no or only inadequate treatment options, such as Stroke, ALS or Spinal Cord Injuries. In doing so, SYGNIS takes a dual therapeutic approach that aims to effect both acute treatment and regeneration of the nervous system.

AX200, an anti-stroke agent, is the most advanced drug candidate. It is currently being tested for its effects on the human body in phase II of clinical trials.

SYGNIS is convinced that, over the next few years, the company will become a key player on the CNS market by observing a strictly market-orientated alignment. In this context, SYGNIS’ potential for long-term creation of added value is driven by four factors: a continuously-growing demand for effective CNS medications, a growth-orientated product strategy, the necessary resources for its implementation and people who turn medico-scientific excellence and networks into economic success.

Thus, SYGNIS will play its part in helping even severe conditions of the nervous system to become treatable in future.
